amaAmbush - Performing
amaAmbush is a professional Marimba Band. The band's high energy performances have put them in a class of their own - they were awarded 1st prize in the National Marimba Festival and recently received a Cultural Award from the Western Cape provincial government.
The band has over 1,000 performances to their credit. They have performed in Argentina, Italy, Malaysia and USA. Locally, they have shared stages with Plush, Prime Circle and the Soweto String Quartet.
The group is an ideal addition to any event. They can provide background atmospheric music, or an energetic feature performance. Their repertoire ranges from popular African tunes, such as Miriam Makeba's Click Song and Pata Pata, to traditional songs, original compositionas, and African versions of Western tunes.
The group prides itself on its punctuality and professionalism.
amaAmbush offer a 3-Piece Marimba Band, a 5-Piece Marimba Band as well as SIYEZA, a Full Stage Band.
