Tuition - Learn to Play
amaAmbush offer marimba tuition to the public in the form of private lessons and public workshops. Prior music instruction is not necessary in order to play these energising instruments and all ages are welcome.
The private one-on-one lessons are offered weekly at a time in the afternoons that is convenient for you. The lessons are held in Rondebosch and all ages and skill levels are welcome.
amaAmbush also run annual workshops where basic and advanced playing techniques on marimbas and djembes are taught. Beginners as well experienced marimba players are welcome to attend these full day workshops. Participants are taught popular African tunes such as Miriam Makeba's Click Song in a relaxed, fun environment.
We also offer marimba and drumming workshops as team building exercises.
